Oktober 2021 ist die diesjährige European Freelancers Week (#EFWeek), eine gesamteuropäische Fokuswoche für Freelancers, die europaweit wohl rund 5% der arbeitstätigen Bevölkerung ausmachen. Über die Pomodoro Technik
Die Pomodoro-Technik ist eine bewährte Methode, um die eigene Arbeitsproduktivität zu steigern. Benannt nach dem «Pomodoro-Timer» in Form einer Tomate, wird die Arbeitszeit in verschiedene Blöcke aufgeteilt: 25 Minuten konzentriertes Arbeiten, 5 Minuten Durchatmen, Auffüllen der Kaffeetasse und Austausch mit anderen. Indem man sich für jeden der 25-Minuten Slots Ziele setzt und diese mit anderen teilt, fügt sich wie von selbst ein Accountability Element hinzu.
Launch der Swiss Freelancers Umfrage 2021
Swiss Freelancers ist ein junger Verband, der Freelancer aus der ganzen Schweiz verbinden und ihnen mehr Sichtbarkeit geben will, sowohl individuell mit ihren Dienstleistungen als auch dem Freelancing als Arbeitsform insgesamt. Während Freelancing – sei es in Vollzeit oder in Teilzeit als Teil eines Arbeits-Portfolios neben Teilzeit-Anstellungen und/oder Familie – auch in der Schweiz stetig zunimmt, sind Politik und Sozialsystem immer noch auf das althergebrachte Vollzeit-Anstellungsverhältnis bei einem einzigen Arbeitgeber ausgerichtet. Hier will Swiss Freelancers ansetzen und sich für die Schweizer Freelancer Community einsetzen. Die Freelancer-Umfrage ist ein erster Schritt dazu, um (auch zu Handen der Öffentlichkeit) einen Überblick über den Stand des Freelancings in der Schweiz im Jahr 2021 zu verschaffen.

About the Pomodoro Technique
The so-called Pomodoro Technique is an established method to boost productivity, the funny name is derived from the pomodoro timer used to break your day into defined time slots. The timer runs for 25-minute work sessions and 5-minute breaks. By making sure people can declare their goal for the session goal before it begins, we add an accountability element. The 5-minute breaks between sessions are there to chat and get to know your group and get fresh coffees.
The benefits of Pomodoro sessions are as following:
- Accountability – the action of sharing your intended goal for a work period is powerful as it creates internal accountability to get it done.
- Deadline – we work with a timer to make sure you can’t slack.
- Networking – use the 5-minute break to breath, disconnect and chat with members in the channel or in a physical meetup. Making those connections is powerful so invest time in it as those could be your future co-founders, team members, investors, suppliers and clients.
Swiss Freelancers Survey Launch
Swiss Freelancers is a new association to connect freelancers across Switzerland and give them more visibility, both as individual service providers and as a growing way of working. Freelancing, be it full-time or part-time as a part of a work portfolio with one or multiple part-time jobs and family, is on the raise also in Switzerland, but political focus and legal structures are still targeting the old-style ‘100% salaried job’ model. This is where Swiss Freelancers aims to make an impact in favor of the freelancer community, and the survey is the first step to get an overview on the state of freelancing in Switzerland in 2021.
